About Hönnetaler Kettenfabrik

Hönnetaler Kettenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed family business based in Sundern-Hövel in the Sauerland region, which has been manufacturing chains since 1860. The company produces short- and long-link round steel chains to standards such as DIN 762, DIN 763, DIN 764 and DIN 766, as well as lifting chains to EN 818-2, chain slings, anchor chains, buoy and mooring chains, muck spreader chains, chain locks and special bent parts in 2-D and 3-D. Production is carried out in steel, with an annual processing volume of more than 1,000 tonnes. Thanks to its own in-house toolmaking, customised special solutions are also implemented. The chains are welded by certified welders and inspected by MT testers to DIN EN ISO 9712 using magnetic particle testing. Customers come from industry, the maritime sector, agriculture and hot-dip galvanizing plants; exports go throughout Europe with a focus on the DACH region.
