About the private brewery
Hösl-Bräu Brewery in Mitterteich in the Stiftland region is a family-owned private business that has been brewing beer since 1906 and is now run by the third generation. The beer is brewed by hand according to the Bavarian Purity Law, following a handed-down recipe from 1906 – free of preservatives and flavour enhancers. The beers use hops from the Hallertau and Spalt, brewing water from the brewery's own well, and natural malt from northern Bavaria. The range includes Helles, Pilsner, wheat beers, Zoigl, strong beer, Radler and Karpfentrunk. In addition to the brewery shop on Bahnhofstraße, the company includes a brewery inn at the lower market square with a restaurant and accommodation options; rental items for celebrations such as table sets, parasols, flow-through coolers and beer kegs in 15, 30 and 50 litre keg sizes are also provided.
