Who we are
Hof Hohenhorst is a family business in Ahrensbök between the Baltic Sea and Bad Segeberg, specialising in sport horse breeding and raising. Volker and Susanne Redderberg run the farm in the third generation of the breeders' family. On the approximately 80-hectare operation, around 15 foals are born each year and young horses are raised in a species-appropriate manner. The services include broodmare boarding with veterinary-supervised care from insemination to foaling, rearing in large loose stalls with paddocks as well as summer herds on the pastures in Groß Timmendorf, the breaking-in of young horses, and a small boarding stable for up to ten owner's horses. The hay for feeding is produced on 35 hectares of the farm's own meadows. The breeding has produced internationally successful show jumpers such as Rosalia la Silla (5th place, Olympic Games London 2012) and Cunningham (multiple Hunter of the Year in the USA).
