About Hoffer Alter

Hoffer Alter is a Bergisch grain distillery located on the more than 300-year-old historic Hofferhof on the outskirts of Cologne in Rösrath. The family business has been family-owned since 1880 and is run in its fifth generation by Tino Müllenbach, great-great-grandson of the company founder. Fine spirits are produced: the classic Hoffer Alter is a 32 percent ABV Bergisch grain spirit made from Bergisch wheat according to the German purity law. The range also includes liqueurs, herbal and fruit specialities, clear spirits, gin, fruit brandies and vodka; some of the recipes date back to the founding era and have been adapted to contemporary tastes. Production takes place with traditional barrel aging, fine manufacturing processes and modern bottling facilities. The products are distributed, among other channels, via the company's own online shop.
