Company
HOFFMANN Räumtechnik GmbH, headquartered in Pforzheim, specializes in broaching technology: a chip-forming manufacturing process with geometrically defined cutting edges used to produce internal and external contours in high-volume and mass production as well as in single-part and small-batch manufacturing. The company builds broaching machines of the internal, external and special broaching machine types as well as internal, external and special broaching tools, and offers contract sharpening of broaching tools. Core competencies are the broaching of turbine and compressor disks for aircraft engines and stationary gas turbines as well as the broaching of brake carriers and brake parts in the automotive industry; steering racks, gears and rib plates are also broached. Broaching tools are made predominantly from high-speed steel (HSS); coated HSS, carbide and powder-metallurgical steels are also used. Since 2004, the company has belonged as a competence center to the parent companies ARTHUR KLINK GmbH and KARL KLINK GmbH. Customers include Opel, Volkswagen, Daimler-Benz, Siemens, GM and Daewoo.
