About Hoffmanns Rösterei
Hoffmanns Rösterei is a family-run coffee roastery located in Trier-Pfalzel. The roastery processes coffee beans using the traditional drum roasting method: the beans are roasted in small batches for a long time, gently and at a comparatively low temperature. Through this process, the chlorogenic acid responsible for gastric intolerance and heartburn is almost completely broken down, so the coffee is considered stomach-friendly and gentle on the digestive system. Individual scents and aromas are developed for each coffee variety; the nuances range from chocolatey, fruity and tropical to earthy and nutty. According to its own statements, the company is the only coffee roastery that has roasted continuously in the city of Trier since its founding, and deliberately chose the home-connected location of Trier over the nearby foreign countries. The coffees are sold via the company's own online shop.
