About Hofmann-Verlag
Hofmann-Verlag is an owner-managed family company based in Schorndorf that has been run by the fourth generation since 2011. Its roots go back to the Hofer book printing business, which the Karl Hofmann family took over in 1934; in the 1950s the publishing house was founded, after the publisher's site in Schorndorf, still in use today, had been acquired in 1953. The programme comprises over 450 titles in print, with a focus on practical and academic sports literature as well as publications on the subject of health. In addition, the publisher issues the specialist journal sportunterricht and complements its titles with digital bonus material in an app. Projects include the Inclusion media package for the DSLV (German Association of PE Teachers) and the book series of the Institute for the History of Sport in Baden-Württemberg e. V. The offering is aimed at PE teachers, students, coaches and anyone interested in sport.
