About Hofmann & Vratny
Hofmann & Vratny OHG is a Bavarian manufacturer of carbide milling tools based in Aßling (Steinkirchen), Upper Bavaria. The company develops and produces milling cutters for virtually every machining purpose – from solid quality tools of the Basic Line to specialized high-performance tools of the Expert Line, including a product line for titanium machining. With around 140 employees, approximately two million milling cutters are produced annually in up to 8,000 product variants. Development follows a proven process consisting of strategic carbide selection, geometry development at the company's own research and development center in Aßling-Forsting, coating selection with partner companies and an extensive testing phase, including trials under real conditions at customers. In addition to series production, the company offers custom manufacturing, private labeling, an original regrinding service, coating development, training and technical consulting. The milling cutters are supplied to companies worldwide, including in aerospace, engine and automotive manufacturing, and medical technology.
