About Hofmann & Vratny

Hofmann & Vratny OHG is a Bavarian manufacturer of carbide milling tools based in Aßling (Forsting). The company produces around 8,000 product variants in large-series production and also offers custom manufacturing, private labeling and an original resharpening service. Cutter development follows a fixed process: strategic selection of the carbide, development of the geometry by the company's own research team, selection of the appropriate coating together with partner companies, and an extensive testing and development phase in the highly technified R&D center at the Forsting site as well as in real-world use at selected customers. The Basic and Expert product lines differ in carbide quality, grinding pattern, coating and quality control, complemented by a special titanium series for extreme machining conditions. The cutters go to companies worldwide, including demanding industries such as titanium and extreme applications. As a large-series manufacturer, the company ensures that all cutters of a series meet the same quality standards.
