Brewing tradition since 1590
Hofmark Brauerei KG is a Bavarian family brewery in Loifling in the Bavarian Forest with a brewing tradition spanning more than 400 years. The brewery produces beer specialties such as Hell, Export, Weisse, Pils, Lager, Dunkles, Zwickl and Märzen, some in organic quality under DE-Öko-001. Beer is brewed in artisanal tradition in the traditional copper brewhouse kettle strictly according to the Bavarian Purity Law, with only three main ingredients: brewing malt, hops and yeast. The beers undergo a multi-day maturation period and are bottled predominantly in swing-top bottles and kegs. The raw materials are sourced almost entirely regionally from Bavaria, which is why the beers are entitled to bear the PGI seal 'Bayerisches Bier' (Bavarian Beer). In addition to its own beer taproom, the brewery provides contract bottling of swing-top bottles for other breweries and runs the historic inn 'Zum Hofmark-Bräu' with a Bavarian beer garden at the Loifling water castle.
