About Hohenester

Hohenester GmbH Fahrwerk-, Motorentechnik was founded in 1981 and is based in Gaimersheim near Ingolstadt. Originally, competition vehicles of all types were prepared; today the product range includes engine performance upgrades (chip tuning and conversion kits with turbo manifolds and charge air cooling), sports suspensions, brakes, exhaust systems as well as rally and racing parts such as dog-ring gear sets for C90 transmissions and special connecting rods for the Audi S4/RS4 Biturbo V6. The effectiveness of the engine and suspension modifications has been proven by success in motorsport, including two STT championship titles won by Jürgen Hohenester. For development and tuning, an engine dynamometer, shock absorber test rigs for vibration measurements on the vehicle and a standard-compliant damper test rig are available, making suspensions and new designs feasible for all vehicles. Some racing-proven innovations are developed to series-production maturity; TÜV approvals are obtained for road tuning kits. The range is complemented by the Hohenester Special Service for Audi, Seat, Skoda, VW and classic cars as well as wheel alignment on an alignment bench.
