HOKUBEMA Maschinenbau GmbH is a family-owned machine manufacturer based in Sigmaringen that develops, produces and distributes machines for wood and plastics processing under the PANHANS brand, established in 1918, as well as the WOODPECKER brand introduced in 2019. The product portfolio comprises band saw machines (BSB 400 to BSB 900, 3-wheel band saw 3V, TBS 800 R and 900 R), sliding table saws (680 and 690 series, V91), tilting spindle moulders (245 series), jointer and thickness planer machines as well as slot and mortising machines. State-of-the-art machines feature touch controls with a tool database for up to 50,000 programs and the RFID-based machine access control SI-TEC. The products are made from selected, high-quality materials and are aimed at joineries, trades and furniture manufacturing. At the site in the Graf-Stauffenberg-Kaserne in Sigmaringen, production, showroom, sales and service are all under one roof; in addition, band saw wheels (ø 400–900 mm, all manufacturers) are vulcanized, balanced and trued (crowned). Distribution extends beyond Germany throughout Europe and worldwide.
