About Holcim (Schweiz) AG

Holcim (Schweiz) AG is a building materials manufacturer headquartered in Zurich that produces cement, ready-mix concrete, gravel, sand and crushed stone as well as specialty products for construction. Its core business comprises cement production at the three cement plants Eclépens, Siggenthal and Untervaz with an annual capacity of just over 2.5 million tonnes, the production of ready-mix concrete in 36 concrete plants, and the extraction and processing of mineral aggregates at 16 gravel and quarry sites. In addition, the company operates recycling processing plants (including RCO, EvoREC, SRREC) in which demolition and excavated materials are processed into recycled building materials. Using ECOCycle technology, deconstruction materials are incorporated into CO₂-reduced cements and concretes such as ECOPlanet, Susteno and ECOPact. The portfolio also includes ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (Ductal), limestone concrete (Ammocret), steel fiber concrete (Steelpact), self-compacting concrete, CPC concrete elements, specialty binders and the mineral insulation material AIRIUM. The products go into building construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects such as tunnel, bridge and road construction in Switzerland and neighboring regions. Since 2019, the company has sourced 100% renewable electricity at all sites.
