About Holistic Compost Lab

Holistic Compost Lab is a start-up located on the Steingrubenhof in St. Peter im Schwarzwald, dedicated to the holistic regeneration of ecosystems through the restoration of healthy soils. At its core is the production of microbiologically high-quality compost in its own manufactory, complemented by substrates and the expert application of compost extracts and compost teas. The laboratory serves as a research and competence center for the use of microbiologically high-quality compost products and at the same time as an open information and education center for soil health with workshops and info days. Its target audience is farmers, municipalities and private garden owners who wish to regenerate their soils. Behind the project stand four partners with backgrounds in agricultural science, farming, architecture and music education; the team continues its education in regenerative agriculture and soil microbiology, among other fields.
