About FireSec
Holz-Brüner GmbH in Bräunlingen/Black Forest distributes fire-retardant solid timber and wood-based materials as CE construction products under the FireSec brand. The core product is created by a vacuum-pressure process in which a colorless fire-protection salt in liquid form is introduced into the wood in a defined, product-specific manner; the process is monitored and documented by modern control technology. In addition, a matched surface system (coatINT for interior, coatEXT for exterior applications) is offered, which has been tested in combination with the FireSec products. The product range includes facade profiles (square-edge, wedge-groove, Rhombo N+F, parallelogram, frame, batten), plywood panels (birch, spruce, poplar, Kerto Q/LVL), 3S solid wood panels, solid construction timber as well as intumescent FireStrips (Interdens/Exterdens). Wood species used include Nordic spruce, silver fir, birch and poplar. Customers include timber construction, public buildings, facades as well as trade fair, event and shop construction; reference projects range from Expo 2020 Dubai to the National Theatre Mannheim and the Lee Tunnel London.
