About us
The Holzofenbäckerei Feuerbäcker was founded in 2006 and bakes bread and baked goods using traditional wood-fired oven technology. The company combines this centuries-old baking method with carefully selected ingredients and a great deal of manual craftsmanship. Its goal is to give baked products back their flavor and preserve a quality that, according to the company, is increasingly being lost in the age of bake-off stations in food retail. Products are sold at weekly market stalls in Göttingen (weekly market, passage Kurze Straße) and Northeim (market square). A delivery service set up during the Corona pandemic has since been discontinued. The gourmet magazine DER FEINSCHMECKER awarded the bakery in 2012 and 2017 as one of the 600 best bakeries in Germany.
