The Company
Holzwerk Franz Obermeier GmbH is a third-generation family company based in Schwindegg in Upper Bavaria. The company processes wood from sustainably managed regional forests into solid wood panels, kantel and friezes, pallets, sawn timber and wood elements (elements). In addition, it acts as a supplier of sawmill by-products as well as wood briquettes and firewood. Its origins go back to a sawmill and a mill on the River Isen, and the company can look back on a tradition of more than 60 years. With Alexander Obermeier, the third generation of the founding family currently assumes leading responsibility. The company operates two sites in Upper Bavaria: the headquarters with production in Schwindegg and a branch in Babensham. The values of the company are sustainability, tradition and responsibility across generations; profits achieved are largely reinvested in the business.
