About us
Holzwerk Schilling GmbH & Co. KG is a family business founded in 1898 and located in Rot an der Rot in the district of Biberach. The sawmill is designed for an annual sawing capacity of 300,000 solid cubic metres of round timber and specialises in sawing softwood packaging round timber. The product range includes sawn timber from softwood and hardwood, pallet cut-to-size pieces for EPAL, CP and DIN3 pallets, dried and 4-side planed construction timber slats to US and British standards, as well as pallets manufactured in-house. By-products such as sawmill residual wood, wood chips, energy wood and Woodburgers made from planer shavings complete the material and energy utilisation. Round timber is sourced predominantly by truck from sustainably managed forests in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria and is measured on an officially calibrated, FSÜ-certified measuring system. With 72 employees, the company supplies customers in Germany, Italy, Spain, France, the Benelux countries, the United Kingdom, the USA and China.
