About Holzwerkstätten Thomae
Holzwerkstätten Thomae from Gleichamberg is a carpentry and timber construction company with over 95 years of company history. The company, with more than 40 employees, carries out renovations of historic roof structures in monument preservation areas, including Kaiserdom in Speyer, Maulbronn Monastery, Schloss Seehof, and St. Sebald Parish House in Nuremberg. The services include structural reinforcement and disassembly of structural timber, traditional carpentry work with tongue and groove joints, roof coverings with beaver-tail tiles and hand-applied tiles, and copper sheet metal work. In new construction, the company realizes roof trusses, extensions, timber frame buildings, glulam and cross-laminated timber constructions, as well as turnkey buildings in timber construction, including solid timber houses in the Thoma Holz100 system made of Mondholz with hardwood dowels. Additionally, insulation work with wood fiber and cellulose, ventilated timber facades, dry construction, and joinery work are carried out. Projects are realized throughout Germany, primarily for monument preservation, church, and public buildings, as well as residential construction.
