Holzwurm GmbH is a manufactory for natural wood furniture and Shoji in Schallstadt near Freiburg. Founded in 1984 by Winfried Dietsche, the company was converted into a GmbH in 1989 with the arrival of Klaus Donner. Products manufactured include Shoji sliding doors and Shoji cabinets, beds and folding cots, tatamis, wardrobes, sideboards and shelves – predominantly made of solid and full wood. Since 2000, production has been carried out on CNC manufacturing systems in batches. Every piece of wood is tested for moisture content, grain, colorfastness and other properties before processing. The surface treatment consists of double oiling with a pure natural product or a coating with water-soluble, silk-matt clear varnish. The service portfolio includes measuring, planning, production and assembly; distribution covers the entire German-speaking region.
