About HOMEofTEAK
HOMEofTEAK is a manufacturer and direct-sales company specializing in teak garden furniture, headquartered in Alpnach Dorf in the canton of Obwalden. The range includes garden tables (including extension and double-extension tables), chairs, armchairs, benches, stools, loungers, lounge furniture in teak and polyrattan, as well as parasols, cushions and accessories. Production takes place exclusively in two company-owned production facilities in Jepara and Semarang on Java (Indonesia) with around 1000 employees, using modern machinery as well as handcraft. Only certified Grade A plantation teak (Tectona grandis) from the state forestry administration PT. Perum Perhutani is used, supplemented by stainless steel frames, brass fittings and polyrattan. The production process includes wood drying, cutting, mortise-and-tenon milling, several sanding passes, assembly and multi-stage quality inspections, including inspection by an in-house team with a wood specialist on site. Products are sold directly without intermediaries via the web portal and the showroom in Alpnach, also with custom-made items to customer specifications. Additional services
Quality
Production in Jepara and Semarang takes place entirely in company-owned facilities with multi-stage quality inspections: every individual part is checked for fit accuracy, followed by several interim inspections and a final inspection. At the Jepara distribution warehouse, a further thorough inspection takes place, including final fine sanding; on site, an in-house team with a wood specialist can carry out quality inspections.
