Horn GmbH is a manufacturer of custom electric heating systems and ready-to-assemble assemblies (thermal assemblies) for industrial applications. The core business consists of flexible silicone heaters, produced since 1966, as well as silicone molded parts and electrodes made of electrically conductive or insulating silicone. The product range includes flexible surface heaters, heating jackets, heating plates, profile heaters, container and drum heaters, control cabinet heaters, heating hoses as well as cartridge heaters and heated presses. The silicone heaters can be used from -60 to +240 °C and can be manufactured up to 3,000 mm long and 1,000 mm wide. Silicone heaters can also be vulcanized onto aluminum sheets. The company supports customers from technical design through heat flow analysis, series production and assembly to final inspection. Around 130 employees manufacture at the Gottmadingen site; more than 7 million heating systems have been shipped worldwide. The products are used in mechanical and plant engineering, semiconductor equipment, process plants, medical technology and the fitness sector.
