Horn & Bauer is a medium-sized, internationally active family business in its fourth generation, headquartered in Schwalmstadt (Hesse) with around 400 employees. The company develops, extrudes, finishes and prints plastic films and film laminates for functional protection and packaging solutions. The value chain comprises film extrusion, lamination, flexo printing, roll slitting and finishing as well as the reprocessing of plastic films – on around 60 production lines. Fields of application include flexible packaging (among others cheese and pasta products), medical products, technical and industrial products as well as vehicle protection systems such as seat, steering wheel and footwell protection made of polyethylene, in some cases with a recycled content of more than 50%. In addition to its two German production sites in Schwalmstadt and Ilmenau, the group operates its own sales companies in England, France and Spain and exports to over 50 countries.
