Horpovel GmbH is a family-owned company based in Bochum that has been developing and manufacturing cleaning and disinfection agents for the food industry since 1960. Its particular focus is on dairies and milk-processing operations as well as the cleaning of membrane filtration systems such as ultra-, micro- and nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, and UF, NF and MF systems. The product range includes alkaline and acidic cleaners, enzymatic speciality products and disinfectants for CIP systems, tanks and pipework; production takes place at the Bochum site on a just-in-time basis. In addition to cleaning chemistry, the company offers on-site application technology, analysis and optimisation of CIP processes, verification of cleaning results using 2-component colour-change technology (biofilm monitoring), remote monitoring of system cleaning, and online training. As a distribution partner of Kovalus Separation Solutions, Horpovel distributes Kovkleen membrane cleaners throughout Europe.
