About HORTEN Aircraft
HORTEN Aircraft GmbH is an aviation company based at Hörselberg-Hainich airfield in Thuringia. Building on three decades of flying wing research and development, the company is developing the NG2 aircraft program, a two-seat flying wing aircraft for General Aviation. It is based on the flight-tested HX-2 demonstrator. The NG2 concept envisions propulsion by a Rotax 916iS (160 hp), a complete Garmin avionics suite, a ballistic recovery system, and certification under the new FAA MOSAIC rules. In addition, the company is working on the NG5 concept study for applications in General Aviation and Regional Advanced Air Mobility. Program assets including hardware, tooling, engineering and test data, program planning, intellectual property, and trademarks are currently being offered for sale in a structured process to enable a new owner to bring the aircraft to market.
