About hoss Mobility
hoss Mobility GmbH, based in Waldhausen im Strudengau (Upper Austria), develops and produces the hoss electric wheelchair, a mobility aid based on a self-balancing single-axle drive. The device combines the maneuverability of an indoor device with the off-road capability of an off-road machine, is controlled via a joystick, and maintains balance through its own safety system that is independent of the main drive. With a top speed of 15 km/h and a range of 60 km, the hoss is also designed for longer distances. Vehicle control includes the MyHoss app, which allows users to adjust the sensitivity of the controls. The company was founded in 2017 by Lukas Rigler and Dominik Lorenz, after the idea emerged from converting a Segway PT as a wheelchair base. Test rides, a manual and a download area on the website are offered.
