About HTL-DHT
HTL-DHT specializes in the custom development and production of films and sheets from plant-based raw materials. A gentle drying technique largely preserves the odor and taste of the raw materials. The company produces reconstituted tobacco products such as Cigar Filler, Cigar Binder, Cigar Wrapper, Cigarette Filler and Tipping Paper, as well as new films made from hemp (premium), mint, goji berries and rose leaves. In the first decades, the focus was primarily on tobacco products for the tobacco industry; in recent years, products made from other raw materials for other industries are increasingly being developed, such as the food industry, including the tobacco- and nicotine-free ArtBinder products as well as One-leaf, HnB and Rolling-Paper products. HTL-DHT is part of the Universal Leaf Tobacco Group and maintains two locations: the headquarters in Eindhoven (Netherlands) and the sister company DHT in Hockenheim (Germany), which concentrates on binder and wrapper leaves for the cigar industry. Both companies were founded in the 1950s (DHT 1956, HTL 1959).
