About us

HUBER Silobau & Kunststoffwerk AG, headquartered in Lengnau in the canton of Aargau, is a Swiss manufacturer of silos, tanks, industrial products and moulded parts made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP). The silos are produced using the cross-winding process and are available in diameters from 2.5 m to 4.0 m and volumes from 15 m³ to 265 m³; tested laminates and double UV protection are designed to ensure long service life. The portfolio includes silos for whole-crop silage, liquid feed and whole-grain storage, crane silos in a modular two-part design for tight spaces, containers for bulk materials and chemical substances, composite materials with GFRP, and GFRP coatings for refurbishment and surface protection. In addition, the company supplies discharge technology, silo milling machines, turbo cyclones, controls for automated feeding and fall-protection solutions. The products are aimed at agricultural and industrial customers; the silos are produced in Switzerland.

Materials & Processes

GFK

Glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP)

Main material for silos, tanks, moulded parts and industrial products with a high glass content for high stability.

UP-GFK

Glass-fibre reinforced polyester

Used for silos, containers and composite materials, among other things in scrubber systems and process engineering plants.

VE-GFK

Glass-fibre reinforced vinyl ester

For coatings and composite materials with increased requirements for chemical resistance.

KREUZWICKEL

Cross-winding process

Manufacturing process for silos that achieves high quality and stability through a high glass content.

BESCHICHTUNG

GFRP coatings

Watertight, dust-tight and airtight refurbishment or protection of surfaces against aggressive substances and oily products.
