The Company

Hubert Bahlmann GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned veal business founded in 1959, headquartered in Lindern (Cloppenburg district). The company covers the entire value chain: calf purchasing, rearing on agricultural fattening farms close to the company, feed production through its subsidiary Optimin (milk replacers, milk powder, feed supplements, liquid fat blends) as well as slaughtering and cutting at the EC meat centre in Lindern (approval DE-NI 10107). These areas are complemented by in-house warehouse and shipping logistics with a fleet of refrigerated vehicles as well as a factory outlet. Since 2005, Bahlmann has also operated a biogas plant (final output 2.5 MW), photovoltaic systems, combined heat and power units and, since 2025, a natural gas upgrading plant with an feed-in capacity of 35 million kWh. Seamless origin traceability via ear tags and a central database as well as continuous checks in the in-house laboratory ensure product quality.
