Hülskens Liebersee GmbH & Co. KG specializes in high-quality gravel and sand products for the concrete and construction industries. At its Liebersee (Saxony) and Hoppegarten-Müncheberg (Brandenburg) sites, mineral raw materials are extracted by wet excavation: electrically powered bucket dredgers or suction dredgers recover raw gravel sands from the gravel lakes. On site, the material is refined in several processing stages — pre-classification, crushing, washing, classification, dewatering and dosing. The product range includes fine and coarse aggregates and grain mixtures for applications in road construction, at Deutsche Bahn and in the concrete industry, where gravel and sand, as the main component (approx. 60–70% aggregate), provide stability and strength to structures. Deliveries are made within the surrounding region to construction sites and for further processing. After extraction, the areas are recultivated and designed for attractive subsequent use.
