Hugo Ackermann GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned plastics processing company based in Kierspe in the Märkischer Kreis district (North Rhine-Westphalia). Since 1938, the processing and machining of plastics has been an essential part of the company; its range of services extends from plastics engineering consulting, material selection, product development and design through to the manufacture of series production tools. Technical injection-molded parts up to a piece weight of 2000 g are produced from thermoplastic materials such as ABS, PC, PA, POM, PBT, PPE, PPA, PPO, PSU, PPS, PP and glass-fiber reinforced or long glass fiber compounds. Special processes include the melt core technique (lost core process) for parts with non-demoldable internal contours, the gas-assist injection process, multi-component, assembly and composite injection molding as well as finishing operations with pad printing, hot stamping, ultrasonic welding and assembly. Production comprises 14 partially electric injection molding machines from Wittmann Battenfeld with clamping forces up to 500 t. Products include containers, housings for electronics, technical precision parts as well as impellers and motor feet for fan and drive technology.
