About Hukka Design Oy

Hukka Design Oy is a family-owned company in Tuupovaara, Eastern Finland, that has been producing Vuolukivi (soapstone) products since 1985. The range includes items for sauna, wellness, gourmet/cooking and interior design, including sauna objects, face rollers, cooling stones for drinks and grill/cooking plates. The soapstone is a dense natural stone over two billion years old that stores heat and cold efficiently, is odour- and taste-neutral, and is tested and approved for food contact. The company develops and designs its products itself and has partially developed and built the manufacturing technology for small soapstone parts on its own. Around 250,000 products are manufactured per year; the team consists of eight employees, most of whom have over 20 years of professional experience. Products are delivered to Finland and France; the company is among other things an exhibitor at Ambiente in Frankfurt.
