System solutions for urban greenery from Nottuln

HUMBERG GmbH, based in Nottuln in the Münsterland region, develops and manufactures system solutions for tree protection, rainwater management and urban furniture for urban spaces. The product range includes root bridges (Radix), underground systems (Quadro), planting pit systems (Arbex), tree grilles including laser grilles, trunk protection, tree retention trenches (ALVEUS), irrigation systems (SIPA), the mobile HUNO TANKBANK® as well as utility bollards, planters, bicycle racks and bollards. Production takes place entirely in Germany at the headquarters in Nottuln; the company has operated its own grey cast iron foundry since 1926 and has used aluminium casting since 1985, supplemented by laser cutting technology with nano-filter technology and sensor monitoring as well as powder coating of steel components in RAL or DB colours. The materials processed include aluminium, grey cast iron, steel, concrete, recycled plastic, hardwood and rice husk material. The company cooperates with universities and research institutions such as Münster University of Applied Sciences and the Federal Environment Agency, is a member of the FLL and offers architects individual product development, engineering, project planning and installation. In 2010, the ARBORIS product series received the reddot design award.
