Hummel Strahl- und Oberflächentechnik is a sole proprietorship based in Viernheim (Hesse), owned by Hauke Hummel. The company offers micro shot peening services for individual, visually optimized and functional surfaces on production tools and molds – including structuring to VDI 3400 and demolding shot peening. Based on a detailed assessment analysis, solutions are developed in close consultation with the customer. Further services include anti-stick coatings and release sprays with ultra-thin layers for high dimensional and contour accuracy, usable as a permanent coating or spray. In addition, Hummel performs the maintenance and scheduled servicing of micro shot peening systems and shot peening booths, including monitoring of service dates, maintenance contracts and a six-month warranty on maintenance work. Fields of application are tool and mold making, plastics and elastomer technology as well as medical technology.
