About Hummingbird Systems

Hummingbird Systems GmbH develops and implements the modular Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Hummingbird for the digital planning, control and optimization of complex production processes. The focus is on single-part and small-batch production in small and medium-sized industrial enterprises with high product variety, fluctuating capacity utilization and frequent changeovers. The software can be introduced modularly with four building blocks – CAM/CNC integration, Planning and Control, Tool Logistics and Machine Data Collection (MDC) – and grows up to fully digital production control 4.0. It integrates common operating systems as well as ERP, CAD/CAM, PDM/PLM and automation systems and, thanks to open interfaces, can be commissioned quickly. The team of engineers and consultants has more than two decades of digital expertise in tool and mold making and experience from hundreds of digitalization and automation projects. Hummingbird Systems was founded in 2015 in Nuremberg, is based in Herzogenaurach and is majority-owned by OPEN MIND Technologies AG in Wessling.
