About Huntingdon Fusion Techniques
Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT is a company founded in 1975 and based in Burry Port (Carmarthenshire, Wales) at Stukeley Meadow, Gwscwm Road. HFT develops and manufactures products for gas purging during tube and pipe welding: Weld Purge Monitors (residual oxygen measurement down to 1 ppm), inflatable pipe purging systems (PurgElite, QuickPurge, HotPurge), Weld Purge Dams, pipe stoppers and plugs made of nylon, aluminium and steel, pipe freezing systems (Accu-Freeze, Qwik-Freezer), tungsten electrodes (MultiStrike, thoria-free) as well as Flexible Welding Enclosures and welding ancillary products. The focus is on supporting TIG welding of stainless steel, titanium and nickel alloys with measurement, data logging and auditing functions (PurgeNet, PurgeLog). The products are manufactured in large batches to maintain high stock levels for immediate delivery; 3D printing is used, among other things, for enclosures of the PurgEye 200. With around 60 distributors worldwide, HFT serves industries such as aerospace, nuclear engineering, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, power generation and food manufacturing.
