About us
HURST+SCHRÖDER GmbH, based in Werdohl, is a medium-sized family business and system supplier of control elements and assemblies. The company develops and manufactures switch knobs (retractable, rigid, illuminated), control and display panels made of PMMA and PC, thermoset design and precision parts, indicator elements with LED technology as well as electronic and electromechanical assemblies through to complete devices. Manufacturing comprises plastic injection molding (also in the cleanroom on ARBURG machines), toolmaking, UV screen printing and pad printing, area printing technology, In-Mould-Decoration (IMD/IML), Functional Foil Bonding with touch sensors, hot embossing, ultrasonic welding as well as SMD and THT electronics production with reflow and wave soldering. Customers are primarily the household appliance and electrical industry as well as smart home technology, electric vehicles and energy technology. In addition to the main site in Werdohl, the group comprises around 475 employees at locations in Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and Turkey; approximately 12 million switch knobs are manufactured annually.

Additional services
Quality
The CAQ software Babtec Q supports quality assurance across the entire process from initial sampling to outgoing goods inspection. Optical and tactile measuring systems such as a 3D coordinate measuring machine, 3D scanners (GOM, Creaform) and automated measuring projectors (Keyence) enable the measurement of complex components; in electronics production, 100% optical inspection is performed by AOI systems.
