About HWACHEON Europe
Hwacheon Machinery Europe GmbH is the European headquarters of the South Korean machine tool manufacturer Hwacheon, the country's oldest machine tool manufacturer, founded in 1945 with around 1,500 employees. The product range includes horizontal and vertical turning centers (universal lathes, heavy-duty machining, BigBore machines for pipe machining, multitasking centers), vertical and horizontal machining centers, HSC and 5-axis machines as well as portal milling machines for tool and die making. The machines are manufactured at four production sites in South Korea, with high vertical integration including an in-house foundry, bed machining and in-house spindle manufacturing. Since 2015, direct sales in Germany have been handled from the Bochum location, supplemented by a European network of 17 sales and service locations. The Technology Center in Bochum offers demonstration machines, test machining, training, service and a spare parts warehouse. Target industries are tool and die making, the automotive industry, medical technology, aerospace and the oil and gas industry.
