About Hycobility
Hycobility develops patented hybrid technologies that make wood a mechanically active component of aluminium and steel profiles. The core of the technology is HycoFusion®, a joining technology for wood-metal hybrid profiles: through the controlled swelling of the wood core, a full-surface, mechanically effective bond with the metal profile is created – without adhesives. The joint is reversible and enables clean separation of the materials by type. As the first market-ready solution, the company is bringing HycoStick®, a hybrid stacking stick for sawmills, to market, which reduces plant disruptions, increases drying capacity and boosts productivity. The profiles are aimed at applications in construction and facades, automotive and transport, mechanical engineering, and the wood and sawmill industries. Hycobility develops, tests and industrializes the hybrid solutions together with industrial partners; the technology is patented, mechanically tested and proven in industrial use.
