About Hymer
Hymer GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Bad Waldsee, is a manufacturer of motorhomes, camper vans and caravans founded in 1957. The company produces semi-integrated and fully integrated motorhomes on Mercedes-Benz and Fiat chassis as well as camper vans with series-production pop-top roofs. The core of production is the PUAL sandwich construction method introduced in 1978 and continuously developed since: a fine-pored, closed-cell, water-repellent polyurethane foam core is pressed together with an aluminium outer skin and an inner layer at approximately 500 tonnes of press pressure; PUAL 2.0 is completely free of edge profiles and is elastically bonded over the full surface area. In addition, lightweight chassis (SLC), lithium battery systems (LiFePo4) and connectivity solutions (Hymer Connect) are offered. The vehicles are assembled in Bad Waldsee and distributed worldwide via approximately 300 service and dealer partners. Since 2019, the company has been part of Thor Industries as a member of the Erwin Hymer Group.
