About HyPhoX
HyPhoX is a deep-tech company from the Berlin-Brandenburg region, headquartered in Wildau. The company develops photonic biosensor chips on which photonics, microelectronics and biochemistry are combined on an area of 2 mm². The sensors are based on photonic integrated circuits fabricated in an industrially scalable CMOS technology on 200-mm silicon wafers; the patented manufacturing process takes place directly on the wafer and is scalable to series production. Up to eight analytes are detected quantitatively and in parallel on a single chip in real time. The product portfolio includes, in addition to the biosensor chips, an 8-channel readout and control board with low-noise photocurrent measurement as well as laser and TEC drivers, and a portable prototype system for on-site measurements. The AI-powered analysis delivers results in less than ten minutes. Application fields are point-of-care diagnostics, water analysis, food diagnostics and environmental monitoring.
