About Hyposto Energy
Hyposto Energy is a company based in Wiesbaden that develops and manufactures energy storage systems based on lithium titanate oxide (LTO). The product range extends from a home storage system with 9.1 kWh, through multi-family and district storage systems (9 to 45 kWh, or cascadable from 50 kWh) and rack energy storage systems for industrial applications (from 50 kWh to over 1 MWh), to container large-scale storage systems with 1 MWh, 800 V and 4 MW power. Further applications include peak shaving, UPS/emergency power solutions, storage for charging stations, agriculture, commercial vehicles, maritime applications, trains and grid outage bridging. The core of the systems is an internationally patented battery management system (BMS) with central control unit (ZSE), whose balancing solution, developed over three years of research, enables the cascading of multiple storage units. The LTO cells used come from the manufacturers Shengquan and Yinlong and are characterized by fast-charging capability up to 10C, more than 25,000 charge cycles, operation at low temperatures without thermal management, and 100% recyclability. According to the company, the engineering expertise is based on the automotive industry; manufacturing is carried out as Made in Germany.
