The company supplied the electrical trade, electrical retail, industry as well as authorities and administrations with products and services from the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, installation technology and industrial automation. The product range was tailored regionally in the branches to local customer needs and comprised a wide product variety. The service spectrum included, among other things, delivery within 24 hours also to construction sites, just-in-time delivery, full-service logistics concepts, sales support at the point of sale, a container service, marketing concepts, manufacturer-neutral training, a rental equipment fleet as well as system sales with a 24/7 ordering platform. At the time of the sale by Siemens in 1997, the group generated revenue of more than DM 1.7 billion with 2,100 employees across Europe and operated over 100 locations in Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 1997 the company was sold to the London-based investment company Industri Kapital; the management acquired a stake in the company. Following insolvency proceedings in 2024, the company was deleted in February 2025 due to having no assets.
