IBB Automation is an engineering office founded in 1990 and based in Reichelsheim (Wetterau), around 35 km north of Frankfurt am Main. The company with nine employees has been active worldwide in the field of process automation for over 30 years. The focus is on automation and modernization (retrofit) of systems in high-vacuum thin-film technology, in particular sputter systems (cathode sputtering), evaporation systems (thermal or with electron beam gun) as well as CVD and PE-CVD systems. The range of services extends from laboratory systems to large production systems and includes PLC controls, process visualizations, electrical engineering design, mechanical construction as well as the development of custom microelectronics and fieldbus adapters (ProfiBus). In addition, IBB Automation offers service for older Leybold evaporation and sputter systems (Z401 to ZV1200, L560 to A1600), spare parts brokering, and the purchase and sale of new and used vacuum coating systems.
