The Engineering Office for Electronics and Automation
ibea, the engineering office for electronics and automation, was founded in Hamburg in 1991 with the aim of developing, manufacturing and integrating industrial image processing systems. From the initial specialization in production inspection of sheet metal products, extensive experience was gained in lighting highly reflective surfaces and in software development. Today, as a system integrator and full-line supplier, the company develops customized visual inspection systems, complemented by pressure and vacuum leak testing devices, heat flow thermography test systems as well as handling automation and robotics solutions. Around 90 % of all systems are developed by ibea and adapted and implemented to customer requirements; proprietary know-how goes into AI algorithms and software development. The systems are used, among others, in the metal packaging industry, the brick, concrete and ceramics industry, by filling companies in the beverage and food industry, as well as in special applications such as continuous material, laminates and injection-molded parts. From its headquarters in Hamburg, ibea offers consulting, installation, training, remote support and repairs from a single source.

Quality and Service
The systems are modular in design, fully automatic and engineered for stability and low maintenance. As part of remote support, system performance, algorithms, statistics and performance tests are checked, and adjustments in the ongoing production process are documented.
