Vibration measurement technology developed in-house since 1994
IBIS Ingenieurbüro für Instandhaltungs- und Schwingungsmess-Systeme GmbH (Ibis GmbH) was founded in 1994 in Groß-Zimmern near Darmstadt and specialises in vibration measurement, balancing technology and machine condition monitoring. The company develops and produces sensors and measuring devices in its own manufacturing operations, including piezoelectric 3-axis acceleration sensors of the AE and AI types in aluminium or stainless steel housings, digital measuring systems such as DigiVib, and vibration and rolling bearing monitors of the SiViB series. Complementary services are offered: vibration analysis, modal and torsional vibration measurements, on-site in-situ balancing, laser-optical alignment and special installations, as well as calculations and simulations for machine and vibration optimisation. Sensor certification is carried out using a Spektra shaker. Since January 2022, Ibis has been part of the Hofmann-Global group with a shared site in Pfungstadt (Hesse). Customers come from mechanical and plant engineering, energy generation, raw material extraction and processing, construction, automotive, aerospace, shipbuilding as well as research and development.
