IBS Intelligent Battery System GmbH, headquartered in Thun, Switzerland, develops, manufactures and distributes electronic systems and modules for the 12V and 24V battery sector. The product portfolio includes dual battery systems (IBS-DBS), inverters (Ultra Sine Inverter 150–1600 W), deep-discharge protection, portable and vehicle-mounted solar technology, lithium batteries, and solar and battery house technology. Electronics manufacturing is carried out as SMD assembly on EssemTec pick-and-place machines with solder paste printing through stencils followed by automated reflow soldering, with panels of up to 36 boards per panel being processed. Manufacturing takes place exclusively in Switzerland; partners worldwide and a US distributor (Extreme Outback Products) distribute the products. Fields of application include 4WD/off-road vehicles, commercial vehicles, ambulances, police, military, agriculture, boat/marine and building technology. In addition, IBS offers expert advice and installation of 4WD accessories as well as a helpline service for technical questions.
