Strong technologies for smart cities
iCiti GmbH, headquartered in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock (North Rhine-Westphalia), develops intelligent communication and control solutions for street and near-building lighting. The product portfolio includes the iSOC edge controller (intelligent server Open City), the iZHAGA luminaire controller with Zhaga socket, and the iLC luminaire built-in controller. The systems use standardized open technology such as High-Definition Powerline Communication (HD-PLC, 2 MHz to 28 MHz) and connect to the existing luminaire infrastructure without replacing it. The luminaire controllers comply with the OLC LonMark profile; the iPC-HD features an Ethernet port for IoT applications. Captured parameters include voltage, current, power, power factor, energy consumption and burning hours. Sensors create urban safety, stage experiential spaces or provide internet access. The products are used worldwide in smart city projects.
