IDCS Engineering GmbH, headquartered in Kreuzlingen (Switzerland), is a globally active development partner for high-end coatings that go far beyond conventional paints and lacquers. The focus is on chemical-technical engineering: the company develops formulations for corrosion protection, thermal insulation and heat dissipation, sound insulation, and fire protection with thin-film fire protection systems. In addition, IDCS offers screenings of industrial plants with calculation of the savings potential – for gas-fired plants with liquid feedstocks, savings of 6 to 11 percent are achieved – as well as IP support for novel feedstocks and their processing. Target industries are new energies (wind power on- and offshore, solar, energy storage, district heating), automotive including electromobility, industry, marine, transport and logistics, as well as aviation. In July 2021, a cooperation with Hempel A/S in the field of innovative insulation coating technologies was established. References include Pepsico and nC Surface Technology.
