Company Profile
IDG-Dichtungstechnik GmbH was founded in Stuttgart in 1971 and has since focused on the design, development, manufacture and distribution of seals and related design components. The company sees itself as a technology centre for sealing technology based on PTFE material compounds and develops its own compounds under the MANOY® brand. The product range includes O-rings, piston, rod, shaft and axial seals, guide rings, wipers as well as sealing and bearing bushes in DIN/ISO versions and to industry standards. Precision seals made of PTFE are produced by machining, while full-face elastomer parts such as O-rings, quad rings and moulded parts are manufactured by vulcanisation; diameters from 3 mm up to well over 10,000 mm are possible. For customer-specific adaptation designs and new developments, samples and pilot (0-) series are produced using the technology and material of the later series. Core industries are industry/mechanical engineering, hydraulics and pneumatics, the food and beverage industry and hydropower plant technology. Since 2024, the company headquarters with office building, logistics hall and automated small-parts warehouse has been located in Albershausen.

Materials and Processes
PTFE and PTFE compounds (MANOY®)
Base material for machined precision seals and mechanical engineering components in all industrial sectors.
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber)
Resistant to hot water, steam, cleaning agents and many acids, among other uses for seals in hydropower.
FKM 44-70 (low-temperature fluoroelastomer)
O-ring material for temperatures from -40 °C to +200 °C with high resistance to oils and fuels.
FFKM (perfluoroelastomer)
Resistant to extremely aggressive chemicals, steam and high temperatures.
NBR43 (IDG material with ManoyDetect®)
Metal-detectable material for sealing elements in the food industry.
ACM (polyacrylate rubber)
Resistant to mineral oils up to 150 °C, ozone and weathering.
CR (chlorobutadiene rubber)
Self-extinguishing rubber with high flex fatigue strength and good weather resistance.
EU (polyether urethanes)
Very high tear and abrasion resistance, among other uses for guide and wiper elements.
